Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII)
Prohibits discrimination based upon race, color, sex (including sexual harassment), religion, or national origin.
Pregnancy Discrimination Act
Prohibits discrimination against a woman because of pregnancy, childbirth, or a medical condition related to pregnancy or childbirth.
The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA)
Prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals in all employment practices, including job application procedures, hiring, firing, advancement, compensation and training.
The Equal Pay Act of 1963 (EPA)
Protects men and women who perform substantially equal work in the same establishment from sex-based wage discrimination.
The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA)
Protects individuals who are 40 years of age or older.
Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008
Prohibits discrimination on the basis of genetic information with respect to health insurance and employment.
Ohio Revised Code Section 4112.02
The state law that prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, or ancestry.
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI)
Prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.
