ODOT Hosts Meeting To Discuss Changes To DBE Program

A public meeting was held at Cleveland State University to discuss changes ODOT and local leaders are proposing in regards to Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals for projects in Cleveland.  To reflect the diverse contracting community of Greater Cleveland, the proposed changes would give ODOT the authority to establish additional ethnicity-based goal criteria for future federally-funded projects in the area, giving more minority contractors the opportunity for work.  An audience of more than 175 gave feedback on the proposed DBE goal structure changes, and people will have further opportunity for comment at future meetings.
