OHIO’S TRAVEL INFORMATION CENTERS FACTS AND FIGURES
Ohio has 11 Travel Information Centers (TICs) located on the major highways in the state. A 12th TIC is located in the lower level of the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus.
The centers are open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. except for major winter holidays. The Statehouse TIC is open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Trained and professional travel counselors are available to assist the public in finding, recommending and directing them to numerous destinations in Ohio.
Three to four hundred tourism brochures, maps and hotel discount coupons are available to the public at no charge. Vending machines with various drinks and snack foods are available at most of the centers.
On an annual basis, more than 1 million people from all 50 states and dozens of countries including Canada, Great Britain, India, Ireland, Japan, France, Germany, and Poland visit the centers.
Numerous travel related information ranging from antique shops, bed & breakfasts, campgrounds, festivals, hotels, museums, state parks, theme parks, and zoos is easily accessible within the TICs.
