Chemical
The Chemical Section is in charge of testing various coatings which include traffic and bridge paint, anti graffiti coatings, and curing compounds. The chemical staff also tests deicing agents, diesel fuels, and glass beads. In conjunction with the Cement & Concrete Section they test concrete additives such as flyash, slag, microsilica, and cement admixtures. The staff also tests soil for silicon dioxide and minimum resistivity for the Aggregate Section.
