PRODUCER/SUPPLIER CODES & TE-24 PREFIX

Following are the Producer/Supplier code and TE-24 prefix designation ranges as they were originally set up in CMS.  Numbers must be assigned manually.  The next sequential number can be obtained by calling Jane Love @ 614-275-1324.

P/S Codes contain contact information about the company and include the 'physical address.  When the address is preceded by an asterisk (*), that means U.S. Mail cannot be delivered to the address.  The U.S. mailing address is stated in the REMARKS screen.  The remarks screen may also contain other pertinent information.

When a company is purchased or sold, the data is updated in one of the following ways:

• The P/S Name is changed to the new name and the old name is entered in the field for Previous Owner:  (used by Cement & Concrete, Chemical, Aggregate and Structural Steel sections of OMM)
   
• A suffix of the P/S Code is created for the new Owner and the previous suffix is made INACTIVE as soon as all samples, under that company name, have been authorized.  (used by the Asphalt Materials section of OMM)
