SMPL - Material Sample:- For Certification Program with TE-24 shipment
This screen shows the correct way to enter and create a SID for materials, on a Certification Program, where the material is shipped via the Virtual Warehouse, with a TE-24. Creating this type of SID gives the certified manufacturer an unlimited quantity of material to ship from.

Input
1. ACT: use 'A' Add mode to enter the sample information
2. Sample Origin: must be TL for Virtual Warehouse and certification programs. District Personnel do not create SID's for the Virtual Warehouse(TE-24)
3. Personnel Id: Social Security Number of person creating the SID (number will not be displayed after hitting Enter)
4. Type Insp: must be CTL for Virtual Warehouse (TE-24)
5. Date Sampled: date SID created
6. Test Code: leave blank but 999 will appear when free form indicator is 'Y' (see # 22) and SID number is generated
7. P/S Cd: numeric number in TAS that represents the producer / supplier's company name
8. Matl Cd : Material code for material represented by SID
9. Unit: Unit of measure computer generated from material code and M/E Indicator
10. M/E Ind : Enter E for English units or M for Metric units. (-01 should be English and -02 should be Metric)
11. Desc 1: Desc 2 & Desc 3 are used to specify what information should be entered in the "Comments" of TE-24 by P/S. This is any information, not displayed in the Material Code, that will help identify the material when it is received in the field. If none is necessary, leave blank.
12. Desc 2: Description 2 -specify what should be in "Comments" of TE-24, if needed or leave blank
13. Desc 3: Description 3 -specify what should be in "Comments" of TE-24, if needed or leave blank
14. Rep Qty: Representative quantity should be 99,999,999.000 the largest number allowed
15. Sampled From: Must enter CERTIFIED PRODUCT
16. Mfg. Control Nbr: Contains only 8 spaces and must say CERTIFID [you will notice the E has been ommitted (CERTIFIED)]
17. - Resp Loc: responsible location, TL for Test Lab
18. LAB: Section in OMM that administers the certification program for this material
19. Actual Completion: Date SID created
20. Test Result Code: Enter MABC (Material Accepted By Certification) for certification programs
21. Free Form Ind: enter 'Y' for yes
22. Press Enter and sample ID will be generated.
23. Change ACT: to 'U' for update
24. Press F11 - to bring up the test screen
25. Enter the statement "In accordance with __ __ __ __ " (Appropriate Specification Number) Example below:

26. Escape back to front screen and place 'Y' in Authorized:
27. For materials that have a Unit of Measure 'EACH' only the -01 SID, needs to be created.
28. For materials that have Units in English and Metric; create an -02 suffix for the Metric units. Entry of the -02 screen, and test screen are the same except for the units.
