Signal Supports and Strain Poles Certified in Accordance with Supplement 1094
Signal support and strain pole materials meeting the Department’s Construction and Materials Specifications 732.11 and 732.12, standards or plans will be acceptable for direct shipment and immediate use in construction projects. Producer/suppliers conforming to this supplement’s requirements are authorized to provide signal support and strain pole materials under certification. This supplement makes no changes or revisions of any ODOT, ASTM or AASHTO specifications for these materials.
Certification of a signal support or strain pole does not eliminate the Project Engineer’s authority to inspect and reject any, or all, certified signal supports and strain poles delivered to the jobsite with excessive defects, damage or that do not meet specifications.
