In order to ensure employees are paid correctly, the Payroll office performs various “checks and balances” including, but not limited to, the application of Time Off Requests (TORs) to the employee’s timecard. Payroll refers to this process as “reconciliation”.
To aid in the “reconciliation” process it’s important that employees submit their TORs by 10:00 a.m. on the Monday following the pay period close, and that managers approve TORs by 12:00 p.m. on that same Monday. Once the 12:00 p.m. cutoff occurs, if managers need to have additional TORs approved for their employees, they’re to work with their Payroll office to accomplish this task.
By following this process, it will result in employees being paid correctly and reduce the number of items requiring research each pay period.
