 Aircraft - Cessna Caravan

ODOT operates a Cessna Caravan to perform remote sensing operations. The Caravan works well as an aerial platform due to its payload capacity to carry equipment, capability to install multiple ports, crew visibility of the ground below, ability to fly relatively slow, aircraft endurance and stability. The Caravan was modified to accommodate a large format mapping camera system and an airborne LiDAR system. This aircraft is dedicated to performing remote sensing operations to support the various activities needed to maintain and improve Ohio's transportation system.
