Transportation Improvement Districts

In Ohio, Transportation Improvement Districts (TIDs) promote intergovernmental and public-private cooperation of transportation resources and investments.

ODOT’s Office of Jobs & Commerce awarded $4.5 million to TID projects in FY2020.

TIDs interested in applying for the ODOT funding must be registered with the agency. If prior registration has been approved, no additional action is necessary to submit an application for funding. If prior registration has not been submitted and approved, the TID must take this step prior to requesting funds.

The TID application submission period is open from May 1st through May 31st annually.
