State Airport System Plan - Update
ODOT's Office of Aviation has long recognized the
importance of planning as a proactive approach to ensuring that aviation
continues its active role in the statewide transportation system. As such, the
Office of Aviation has undertaken this statewide airport system plan update in
order to continue the analysis of the state airport system that will produce an
extensive assessment of the condition of the current system, as well as a
planning document for meeting both current and future needs.
The State Airport System Plan (Focus Study and Economic
Impact Analysis) was last updated in 2014 with data collected in 2012 and is
quickly becoming obsolete. A new plan update is needed. Our goal is to create a user friendly enterprise data
management system so that the State Airport System Plan can then be quickly,
and cost effectively, updated. The data management system will
take the current plan from a static document to a live interactive plan, creating
a sustainable system and process for all future updates.
