Sign Designs and Markings Manual (SDMM)
Description
This manual contains Standard Sign Designs for traffic control signs addressed in the OMUTCD and TEM, as well as some signs that, at least as yet, are not specifically addressed in either of these manuals. The SDMM has been incorporated by reference into the Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM), although physically it is separate.
The SDMM can be viewed or downloaded below.
Legal Authority
The SDMM is referenced in the OMUTCD and is used to assure uniformity in the design of standard traffic signs in Ohio.
Miscellaneous Information
New and revised designs are distributed quarterly, as needed, in January, April, July and October. If you have questions about the sign designs or need copies of older versions, please contact Lisa McConnell, Standards Technician.
