Circuit Rider Training Program

The Circuit Rider training program has been designed to deliver free on-site training to employees of local government agencies in Ohio (county, city, village, or township).  Upon request, the Circuit Rider instructors will travel to local agency facilities to teach introductory classes (2 to 3 hours) that provide an overview of basic concepts.Circuit Rider Program Logo - 2012.jpg

The current class topics are: (New!) Developing Emotional Intelligence Competencies; Road Safety for Everyone; Walking School Bus Training; Work Zone Traffic Control; Working With Other Generations; Working With Other Personality Types; and QuickClear.  Links to announcement flyers with details about each class topic are provided below.

In order to schedule a class, the local host agency must be able to provide:

  • A minimum of 15 participants who will attend (may invite employees from other local agencies, if needed).  The maximum number of attendees for one class is approx. 40 - 50 (except WWOPT = min.10/max.20 - see below).
  • A meeting room, with tables and chairs, that is suitable for conducting a training class with a PowerPoint presentation.  It is helpful to have a projection screen or blank wall available, along with an LCD projector.  The instructor can bring a portable projector if needed.

For agencies that have hosted LTAP Circuit Rider training in the past and would like to have their employees repeat a class as a 'refresher' session, we generally prefer to wait at least 18 to 24 months before providing the same class topic again to the same employees.  (Please check your agency's training records to verify before scheduling.)

Classes are scheduled based on the instructor’s availability.  Please plan ahead at least two months when contacting LTAP to request Circuit Rider training.  For more information, please call or e-mail:
