Municipal Bridge Program

The Municipal Bridge Program provides federal funds to municipal corporations and Regional Transit Authorities for bridge replacement or bridge rehabilitation projects. A funding limit of $2.5 million per project is set. ODOT will provide up to 80% of eligible costs for construction only. Historically, the funding amount for this program has been approximately $8 million annually. Currently, there are about 1,300 bridges statewide that have a Municipal owner and meet the Federal definition of a bridge (20 feet or greater).
