Request for Proposals

The emphasis of ODOT's research program is on investigating issues facing Ohio's transportation system. A strategic approach is used to develop the research program. This helps to ensure that: (1) research is focused on ODOT's needs; (2) both long- and short-term goals are identified; (3) research is performed as near as possible to the time that a solution is needed; and (4) major projects, or portions thereof, are sequenced in a logical manner.

To encourage a robust research program, ODOT has three avenues through which project ideas of local importance can be developed:

  • Strategic Research Plan Projects Closed!
  • ODOT Partnered Research Exploration Program (OPREP) Closed!
  • Student Study Program Closed!
