This Office is charged with the collection, warehousing, and disseminating of Transportation data used to support all aspects of managing the Transportation System. It utilizes cutting edge technological applications for promoting efficient and effective collaborative solutions. The Office is home to a top notch Geographical Information Systems unit responsible for supporting the Departments decision making capabilities utilizing the best geospatial solutions possible. The Office also has one of the best Traffic Monitoring programs in the country, including a very reliable and robust Weigh-In-Motion program. To support the Departments efforts in managing its Transportation Assets, the Infrastructure Management group features nationally recognized experts in the areas of highway surface characteristics, road profiling, friction testing, and asset management.
