2 CFR 200 Super Circular Training: Governmental Entities Day 13/17/2015 10:00 AM3/17/2015 4:00 PMODOT Office of Aviation, 2829 W. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43235

In the December 26, 2013 Federal Register, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) published a major revision to all grant management policies, entitled “Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards,” Final Rule. This publication has been cited as the most significant change in Federal grants management procedure since the 1970s. Eight separate circulars guiding the requirements and principals that must be followed by state governments, local governments, Indian Tribal organizations, private nonprofit organizations, and colleges and universities receiving Federal financial assistance are now combined into this one “Super Circular.”

ODOT is offering training and technical assistance to Office of Transit Section 5311 subrecipients on the implementation of the new Super Circular’s requirements and a hands-on workshop for developing compliant Cost Allocation Plans (CAP). The March 17-18 training will focus on governmental entities while the March 30-31 training will focus on non-profit agencies. If you plan to submit a CAP to ODOT for approval, you must attend the training. No CAP will be allowed to be entered into your budget if you do not attend both days. The target audience for the training within these two groups will be General Managers, Executive Directors, Chief Financial Officers, bookkeepers, etc. In addition, ODOT Office of Transit staff will participate in the training. Lunch will be on your own.
