Statewide Market Analysis: Transit Markets in Ohio (posted July 10, 2014; updated September 8, 2014)
The Ohio Statewide Transit Needs Study included a market analysis to understand the existing conditions in Ohio related to the demand for and availability of transit service. The study is designed to understand where there are needs for transit service and how well needs are matched with existing service.
The market analysis was conducted at a county level as well as from a statewide perspective, with an analysis prepared for each of Ohio’s 88 counties (see below). Results for each of the individual counties are grouped into five regional summary documents. These documents include data on the counties' historical trends related to population and employment density as well as local socio-economic characteristics. The analysis also briefly describes available transit service.
