Freight Rail & Safety On Agenda for ORDC Retreat
Railroad Loan Programs, Bridge Regulations & Safety Also Up for Discussion
Columbus (Monday April 11, 2011) – How freight will move through Ohio in the future is among the items to be discussed by ORDC Commissioners at their Spring Commission Retreat:

In addition, Commissioners will also hear presentations on new railroad bridge regulations from the Federal Railroad Administration and hear discussions on issues regarding the federal Railroad Rehabilitation & Investment Financing (RRIF) Program, railroad safety and other freight railroad issues in Ohio.
The meeting is open to the public and guests are asked to arrive between 8:30 and 8:45 a-m. The ORDC Commission Retreat will be held at the Darby Creek Metro Park in the Cedar Lodge.
Directions: From I-270, take the West Broad Street (U.S. 40) exit west. Go about 5 miles on Broad Street and turn left on Darby Creek Drive. Main entrance is about 3 miles on the right.
