Wilmington Air Park
Wilmington Air Park is a dual runway airport with very light air traffic and a supportive community which provides a unique environment for mixed manned and unmanned ground and air operations testing. The range is over 2,000 acres with 225,000 square feet of hanger space and an abundant amount of office space to support aircraft and UAS operations. Since January 2012, the Air Force Research Laboratory has conducted more than 20 UAS test flights for data collection for acoustic sensors, cameras, and infrared sensors. All UAS flight operations are coordinated with the Wilmington Air Park and Wilmington Control Tower to ensure ultimate safety.
