The Nelsonville Bypass is a more than $150 million project consisting of 8.5 miles of new four lane highway of U.S. 33 near Nelsonville, Ohio. Motorists traveling through the eastside of Nelsonville on U.S. 33 may encounter short term lane closures with traffic being maintained by a flagger. Construction crews will be finalizing bridge work and paving of the eastside of the bypass.

The reconstruction of U.S. 33 and SR 664 intersection includes the state’s first-ever double roundabout interchange. Motorists traveling through the U.S. 33 and SR 664 interchange in Hocking County will encounter possible lane closures on US 33. Although two lanes of traffic will be maintained on SR 664 during the duration of the project, motorists can expect traffic pattern changes.
