Crews work to construct a new Innerbelt Bridge – the first of two – which will eventually carry westbound traffic. Multiple lane and ramp closures are expected. The existing I-90 bridge will remain open; however motorists are advised to Opt for the Alternate and use I-490 and I-77 to avoid the construction zone. The new westbound bridge is expected to be open to traffic during the fall of 2013 at which time it will carry traffic in both directions while the existing bridge is demolished and the new eastbound bridge is constructed. Begin: March 2011 Complete: December 2013 (westbound bridge)/December 2016 (eastbound bridge)

Crews have begun work for the major pavement reconstruction on I-90 between Morley and Paine roads. Motorists can expect the contra-flow traffic configuration through this work zone during the summer months. Lane closures are expected, but will not impact peak travel times.
