Interstate 75 from the Auglaize County line to just north of SR 81 in Allen County and through the city of Lima will undergo a significant reconstruction beginning in 2012 through 2015.

 Phases

 
The project will be constructed in three phases:  
  • Phase 1 - Replacement of the Fourth Street and Reservoir Road bridges over Interstate 75 (begins February 27, 2012)
  • Phase 2 - Reconstruction of the north segment of the mainline of Interstate 75 from Fourth Street to Bible Road (spring 2013 to fall 2014) 
  • Phase 3 - Reconstruction of the south segment of the mainline of Interstate 75 from Fourth Street to the Auglaize County line (spring 2014 to fall 2015)

A related project will take place on Ohio 117/309 from just east of Saratoga Avenue to Bowman Road in 2013

Fourth Street closed February 27, 2012 until late fall.

The entrance ramps from Fourth Street to I-75 will close May 9 for 30 days while work to construct the new center bridge pier takes place. 

The exit ramps from Interstate 75 to Fourth Street will remain open; however, traffic will not be permitted across the bridge.

Reservoir Road and the north end of Bryn Mawr Avenue will close May 1 until late fall.

Interstate 75

April and May-The northobund and southbound entrance ramps to I-75 from Fourth Street will be closed beginning May 9 for 30 days to allow for construction of the new center bridge pier. Traffic on I-75 will be maintained in two lanes in each direction; however, traffic will be shifted away from the center pier area.

Nightly lane closures will occur on Interstate 75 in the area of Reservoir Road during the week of April 30 from 7 p.m. until 10 a.m. each day to allow for removal of the existing bridge structure. Lane closures will continue through May during nighttime hours but will occur intermittently as work dictates.

 

 

 Phase 2

 
Reconstruction of the north segment of the mainline of Interstate 75 from Fourth Street to Bible Road (spring 2013)
The contract for this project will be placed out for contractor bid in January 2013
 
 

 Phase 3

 
Reconstruction of the south segment of the mainline of Interstate 75 from Fourth Street to the Auglaize County line (spring 2014)
 
The contract for this project will be placed out for contractor bid in January 2014
