On 10/01/20, ODOT District Environmental Staff prepared a website post inviting comment for resurfacing work on US 224 in Hancock County from TR 212 (beginning at mile marker 17.42) to the Seneca County line. No comments were recieved.

On 01/07/20, the ODOT Design Engineer and Project Manager notified District Environmental Staff that additional work had been added to the project. This work includes adding centerline rumble stripes to State Route (SR) 309 from Perry Chapel Road east of the City of Lima in Allen County to the railroad underpass west of the Village of Kenton in Hardin County (note that this includes a small overlapping portion of SR 235 in Hardin County). See attached mapping. All work will occur within the existing roadway right of way.

Traffic detours are not anticipated during construction. Construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2021.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is proposing to make drainage upgrades along the west side of State Route 109 in Putnam County beginning approximately 1.40 miles north of the Village of Ottawa and ending at County Road H. See attached mapping. Drainage upgrades include installing new drainage tile and piping and tying upgraded drainage features into new or existing catch-basins on the west side of the roadway. All work is proposed within the existing roadway right-of-way and stream channel easements.


Temporary lane closures may be needed during construction; however, no detours are anticipated. Construction is scheduled to occur in the summer or fall of 2021.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is proposing to add seven culvert lining jobs along US 30 in Allen, Hancock, and Wyandot Counties to an existing project in order to extend the lives of the existing structures:

• ALL-US 30-20.84 (located 0.5 miles east of the US 30 / IR 75 interchange)
• HAN-US 30-0.52 (located 0.5 miles east of the Hancock County line)
• HAN-US 30-2.68 (located at the western side of the US 30 and State Route 235 interchange)
• WYA-US 30-11.75 (located at the US 30 on ramp to the US 30 / US 23 joint highway around Upper Sandusky on the northwest side of town)
• WYA-US 30-21.14 (located at the exit ramp for the eastbound US 30 rest area east of Upper Sandusky)
• WYA-US 30-21.54 (located at the entrance ramp for the eastbound US 30 rest area east of Upper Sandusky)
• WYA-US 30-22.07 (located 0.5 miles east of the eastbound US 30 rest area east of Upper Sandusky)

See attached mapping. All work will occur within the existing roadway right of way. Traffic detours are not anticipated during construction. Construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2021.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is proposing to seal the existing pavement along 3 curves of IR 75 in Allen County to improve the friction of the pavement. These curves are located between the Auglaize County Line and the 4th St interchange on the south side of the City of Lima. See attached mapping. All work will occur within the existing roadway right of way.

Temporary lane closures may be needed during construction; however, no detours are anticipated. Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2021.
