Four-Way Stop to be Installed at Hagy Road and Ohio 18
LIMA (Sunday, September 2, 2012) – The intersection of Hagy Road/New Bavaria Road and Ohio 18 southeast of Defiance will become a four-way stop beginning Tuesday, said Kirk Slusher, Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 deputy director.
The intersection is currently a two-way stop and its odd angles create a site distance issue for motorists. Creating the four-way stop condition will provide a greater level of safety for motorists on all approaches to the intersection.
Message boards alerting motorists to the upcoming change have been in place at the intersection for several days.
