The following is a weekly report concerning construction and maintenance work on state highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 which includes the counties of Allen, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Wyandot. This report is issued each week beginning in April and continues through November.

Allen County
 
Interstate 75 Reconstruction project For the most recent information concerning the Interstate 75 reconstruction project through Lima and Allen County please visit www.odotlima75.org.
 
Defiance County

Ohio 66 southbound at U.S. 24 north of Defiance will be restricted to one lane through the work zone on Friday, November 6 for repair of concrete pavement. Work is being performed by the ODOT District 1 bridge department.
 
Ohio 15 between the 15/18 split west of Defiance to the Williams County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for sealing of pavement cracks. Work is being performed by the ODOT Defiance County maintenance garage.
 
Ohio 281 (Domersville Road) just south of U.S. 24 is now open following a railroad repair.
 
Hancock County
 
U.S. 68 at select locations within Hardin and Hancock counties will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for placement of pavement markings following installation of rumble strips down the center line. Work will take place at the following locations. Work is being performed by ML Markings, Columbus:
-From the Logan County line to the south edge of the city of Kenton
-From north of the city of Kenton to the south edge of the village of Dunkirk
-North of the village of Arlington to the south edge of the city of Findlay
 
U.S. 224 from Trenton Avenue in Findlay to County Road 212 east of Findlay including Main Street is restricted at some locations for minor finish work following a resurfacing project. Work will continue through the week. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.
 
Interstate 75 northbound and southbound south of Findlay, from three miles south of the rest areas to the Interstate 75/Ohio 15 interchange is restricted through the work zone during installation of rumble strips. The project will be completed by the beginning of the week. Work is being performed by Shelly Company, Findlay.

Ohio 15 from the Findlay airport to Ohio 37 both eastbound and westbound will be restricted to one lane at various locations throughout the zone while crews grind and smooth areas of the pavement. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.
 
Interstate 75 in Wood and Hancock counties: Through 2016, southbound I-75 is reduced to two lanes from US 20 to I-475 in Perrysburg. Through November, from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-75 between the I-75/I-475 interchange in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County. Through 2016, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-75 between US 20 in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County.  Project complete: October 2017. All work is weather permitting.
Special events . . .
  • Effective Monday, April 27, through December, Township Road 101 in Hancock County, between CR 220 and TR 142, will be closed for bridge work on I-75.
 
Hardin County
 
Ohio 195 from Ohio 309 to County Road 110 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for berm work. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.
 
Ohio 53 near Grant from just north of County Road 90 and County Road 80 will be closed November 9 for two days for a culvert replacement. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 31, U.S. 68 and Ohio 81 back to Ohio 53. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.
 
Ohio 273 closure between Ohio 292 and Ohio 31 for a railroad crossing repair has been delayed until November 12. The route will be closed for approximately 10 days. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 292 and Ohio 31 back to Ohio 273. Work is being performed by CSX Railroad.
 
U.S. 68 at select locations within Hardin and Hancock counties will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for placement of pavement markings following installation of rumble strips down the center line. Work will take place at the following locations. Work is being performed by ML Markings, Columbus:
-From the Logan County line to the south edge of the city of Kenton
-From north of the city of Kenton to the south edge of the village of Dunkirk
-North of the village of Arlington to the south edge of the city of Findlay
 
Ohio 31 in the village of Mount Victory closed October 30 and will remain closed until mid November for a railroad crossing repair. Traffic will be detoured onto Ohio 292 and Ohio 47 back to Ohio 31. Work is being performed by CSX Railroad and Vorst Paving.
 
Ohio 31 in the city of Kenton between Decatur Street and Espy Street closed October 28 for approximately two weeks for a railroad crossing repair. Traffic is detoured onto U.S. 68, County Road 140 (Letson Avenue) back to Ohio 31. Work is being performed by CSX Transportation.
 
Ohio 31 south of Kenton is now open following a railroad crossing repair.
 
Paulding County
 
Ohio 66 north of SR 613 will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for sealing of pavement cracks. Work is being performed by the ODOT Paulding County maintenance garage.
 
U.S. 127 within Van Wert and Paulding counties will be restricted to one lane through the work zone during placement of pavement striping following installation of rumble strips down the center line. Work is taking place from the Mercer County line to the south edge of the village of Paulding, excluding the city of Van Wert. Work is being performed by ML Markings, Columbus.
 
Ohio 500 from Ohio 49 in Payne to the Indiana state line is now open following pavement repair.

U.S. 127
between Garfield Avenue and Jackson Street in the village of Paulding is now open following a sewer separation project.
 
Putnam County
 
Ohio 12 at the west edge of Columbus Grove closed October 7 for approximately five weeks for installation of sanitary sewer. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 65, U.S. 30 and Ohio 115 back to Ohio 12. Work is being performed by Underground Utilities, Inc.
 
Van Wert County
 
U.S. 127 within Van Wert and Paulding counties will be restricted to one lane through the work zone during placement of pavement markings following the installation of rumble strips down the center line. Work is taking place from the Mercer County line to the south edge of the village of Paulding, excluding the city of Van Wert. Work is being performed by ML Markings, Columbus.
 
Wyandot County
 
U.S. 23/30 northbound and southbound from south of Ohio 182 to just south of County Road 47 at Upper Sandusky is restricted at certain locations for finish work following a bridge repair and resurfacing project. The project will continue through the week. Work is being performed by Kokosing Construction, Columbus.
