Note: This is the final report of the year concerning construction and maintenance work on area highways. Information concerning work which continues to affect traffic significantly will be communicated as needed.

The following is a weekly report concerning construction and maintenance work on state highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 which includes the counties of Allen, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Wyandot. This report is issued each week beginning in April and continues through November.

Allen County
 
Interstate 75 Reconstruction project For the most recent information concerning the Interstate 75 reconstruction project through Lima and Allen County please visit www.odotlima75.org.
 
Ohio 501 between Fort Amanda Road and Ohio 117 is now open following replacement of culverts at two locations.
 
Defiance County

Ohio 15 from the village of Ney to the Williams County line will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for sealing of pavement cracks. Work is being performed by the ODOT Defiance County maintenance garage.
 
Hancock County
 
Ohio 103 between Arlington and Jenera will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for berm work. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.
 
U.S. 224 between Findlay and Ohio 235 will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for berm work. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.
 
Interstate 75 southbound exit ramp to U.S. 68/Ohio 15 will be closed for approximately four hours on Sunday, November 22 for grinding of the pavement. The closure will be in place from approximately 8 p.m. to midnight. Traffic detoured onto Interstate 75 southbound to Ohio 235 back to U.S. 68/Ohio 15. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.
 
U.S. 68 installation of rumble strips down the center line is complete.
 
U.S. 224 resurfacing from Trenton Avenue in Findlay to County Road 212 east of Findlay including Main Street is essentially complete and is no longer significantly impacting traffic.
 
Interstate 75 in Wood and Hancock counties: Through 2016, southbound I-75 is reduced to two lanes from US 20 to I-475 in Perrysburg. Through November, from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-75 between the I-75/I-475 interchange in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County. Through 2016, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-75 between US 20 in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County.  Project complete: October 2017. All work is weather permitting.
Special events . . .
  • Effective Monday, April 27, through December, Township Road 101 in Hancock County, between CR 220 and TR 142, will be closed for bridge work on I-75.
 
Hardin County
 
Ohio 292 in the village of Ridgeway will be closed December 2 for approximately two weeks for railroad repair. Traffic will be detoured onto Ohio 31, Ohio 47 back to Ohio 292. Work is being performed by CSX Railroad and Vorst Paving.
 
Ohio 701 between Ohio 309 and U.S. 68 will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for pavement repair. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.
 
U.S. 68 placement of pavement markings following installation of rumble strips down the center line is complete.
 
Ohio 31 in the village of Mount Victory closed October 30 until mid November for a railroad crossing repair. Traffic will be detoured onto Ohio 292 and Ohio 47 back to Ohio 31. Work is being performed by CSX Railroad and Vorst Paving.
 
Ohio 31 in the city of Kenton between Decatur Street and Espy Street is now open.
 
Paulding County
 
Ohio 66 north of Oakwood will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for sealing of pavement cracks. Work is being performed by the ODOT Paulding County maintenance garage.
 
U.S. 127 placement of pavement striping following installation of rumble strips down the center line is now complete.
 
Putnam County
 
Ohio 15 between the Defiance County line and Ohio 613 will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for smoothing of areas of the pavement. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.
 
Ohio 12 at the west edge of Columbus Grove is now open following a sanitary sewer project.
 
Van Wert County
 
U.S. 224 at Slane Road will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for ditch cleaning. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.
 
U.S. 127 placement of pavement markings following the installation of rumble strips down the center line is now complete.
 
Wyandot County
 
U.S. 23/30 bridge repair and resurfacing project northbound and southbound from south of Ohio 182 to just south of County Road 47 at Upper Sandusky will be complete by the beginning of the week. Work is being performed by Kokosing Construction, Columbus.
