HANCOCK COUNTY: Interstate 75 lanes
to shift, U.S. 224 ramps to close next week
LIMA, Ohio (July 5, 2018) – The
following traffic impacts related to the reconstruction and widening of
Interstate 75 through the city of Findlay and Hancock County are scheduled to
occur during the week of July 9.
The Interstate 75
northbound exit and entrance ramps at U.S. 224 will close July 9 for reconstruction. U.S. 224 over Interstate 75
and the Interstate 75 southbound exit and entrance ramps at U.S. 224 will be
unaffected. The closures will have the following durations and associated
- The exit ramp from Interstate 75
northbound to U.S. 224 will close for approximately 60 days. Traffic will
be detoured onto Interstate 75 northbound, county Road 99 and Interstate
75 southbound back to U.S. 224. (see map)
- The entrance ramp from U.S. 224
to Interstate 75 northbound will close for approximately 30 days. Traffic
will be detoured onto Interstate 75 southbound and state Route 12 back to
Interstate 75 northbound. (see map)
Lima Avenue near the
U.S. 68/state Route 15 interchange may be
maintained by flaggers at times beginning July 9 during the relocation of a
water line. Most of the work will take place off the roadway and will not

Both lanes of Interstate
75 northbound between U.S. 224 and county Road 99 will be shifted onto the southbound side of the highway overnight
July 9 into the early morning hours of July 10. The traffic shift will allow
reconstruction work to continue on the northbound side of the highway.
northbound will be restricted to one lane between 9 p.m. on July 9 and 7 a.m.
on July 10 to allow crews to shift the travel lanes. Additionally, Interstate
75 northbound will be temporarily stopped in short intervals between midnight
and 5 a.m.
Access to all Findlay
exits will be maintained along Interstate 75 northbound, except the ramps along
Interstate 75 northbound at U.S. 224, which will be closed for reconstruction,
and the ramp from Interstate 75 northbound to U.S. 68/state Route 15, which
closed last year for three years.
The ramp from U.S.
68/state Route 15 to Interstate 75 southbound will be closed July 10 between 6
a.m. and 6 p.m. for the setting of bridge beams. Traffic will be detoured onto
Interstate 75 northbound and state Route 12 back onto Interstate 75 southbound.
