ODOT District 1 looking for snowplow
event to be held Nov. 16 in Lima
LIMA (Nov. 14,
2017) – Each year, the kind of winter we will experience is an unknown.
Being fully prepared for whatever may come is the reason the Ohio
Department of Transportation District 1 is looking for snowplow drivers and
will hold a hiring event on Thursday, Nov. 16 to find them.
The event will be
held from noon to 5 p.m. at ODOT’s District 1 office, located at 1885 N.
McCullough St. in Lima.

“We’re looking for
people who can work 40 hours a week from December to March, but on-call and
part-time options may be available,” he said. “If you have another job or
only work weekends and you’d like to work Monday through Thursday, we can
perhaps accommodate that,” he said.
It’s also not necessary to have
experience in a plow.
“If you meet the
basic requirements, we will teach you to plow,” said Slusher.
