ODOT Seeking Public Comment on Projects
 
LIMA (November 21, 2013)The Ohio Department of Transportation District 1, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), is seeking public comments regarding the following proposed projects:
 
District Wide
 
Allen County
SR 309-0.00/10.22 (PID: 90849) – The proposed project is located on Ohio 309 from US-30 to 0.2 miles west of Eastown Road in Allen County, Ohio. The project proposes to resurface the roadway with asphalt concrete. Through the village of Elida, the existing curb and gutter on Ohio 309 is to be replaced.  From Pioneer Road to just west of Eastown Road, the roadway is to be widened to five, 12-foot lanes and new curb and gutter is to be installed. The addition of sidewalks is a possibility through this section, so public input on this matter is requested. Finally, a 60-inch culvert at mile marker 0.6 is to be replaced.  Lane closures are expected during construction; however, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times.  The construction for this project is currently scheduled for the spring and summer of 2016. 
 
Hardin County
SR 81-15.13 (95479) – The proposed project is located approximately 0.1 miles east of County Road 159 in Hardin County on Ohio 81. The project proposes to replace the existing culvert at this location.  Traffic during this project will require a detour; however, local traffic will be maintained. Construction for this project is currently scheduled for late summer in 2015.
 
Paulding County
SR 49-7.22 (84584) – The proposed project is located on Ohio 49 approximately one mile north of the junction with Ohio 613 in the village of Payne. The project proposes the replacement of the bridge at this location over Wildcat Creek. Traffic during this project will require a detour; however, local traffic will be maintained. Construction for this project is scheduled for the summer of 2016.
 
Putnam County
US 224-6.51 (95481) – The proposed project is located on U.S. 224 approximately 0.56 miles east of the junction with Ohio 634. The project proposes the replacement of the existing culvert at this location. Traffic during this project will require a detour; however, access to properties within the construction limits will be maintained. Construction for this project is currently scheduled for early summer of 2015.
 
Wyandot County
Marseilles Ave./Eighth St. (PID: 93787) – The proposed project is located on Marseilles Ave./Eighth St. from High Street to Wyandot Avenue in Upper Sandusky. The project is proposed to provide full depth pavement repairs as needed, mill and resurface with asphalt concrete, and also replace the existing waterline along this section of roadway.  Traffic during this project will be maintained to a minimum of one lane during construction; however, intermittent closures may occur. Construction of this project is currently scheduled for spring of 2014.
 
SR 67-7.76 (95495) – The proposed project is located on Ohio 67 approximately 0.34 miles south of Township Road 103. The proposed project involves the replacement of the existing culvert at this location along with clear zone grading and a new ditch. Traffic during this project will require a detour; however, local traffic will be maintained. Construction for this project is currently scheduled for late summer of 2015.
 
SR 37-8.97 (96801) – The proposed project is located on Ohio 37 approximately 0.13 miles south of County Road 96. This project proposes the replacement of the existing culvert. Traffic during this project will require a detour; however, local traffic will be maintained. Construction for this project is currently scheduled for early summer of 2016.
