ODOT seeking public comment on projects

LIMA (September 29, 2017)The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Executive Order 11988, is seeking public comments regarding the following proposed projects:
Allen County
State route 696 at the interchanges with Interstate 75 and U.S. 30 (PID: 98552) – The Ohio Department of Transportation is proposing to repair concrete pavements along ramp sections at the Interstate 75 interchange with state Route 696 and at the state Route 696 interchange with U.S. 30 in Allen County near the Village of Beaverdam.
In addition, there will be some concrete pavement repair work along state Route 696 near the Interstate 75 interchange with state Route 696. Weekend closures of the ramps are expected, vehicle traffic will be detoured during closures. State Route 696 will remain open to traffic as the repairs to concrete pavement are being completed.
Construction for this project is anticipated to occur in the summer of 2018.
Hardin County
U.S. Route 68, state Route 195, state Route 235 and state Route 309 (PID: 88848) – The Ohio Department of Transportation is proposing to resurface the roadway in Hardin County on U.S. Route 68 from the southern corporation limits of the city of Kenton to Franklin Street (state Route 309), state Route 235 on the overlap section with state Route 309, state Route 309 from the Allen County line to the western corporation limits of the city of Kenton, and state Route 195 from county Road 110 to the northern corporation limits of the village of McGuffey.
Roadway widening will also occur on state Route 195 from Cottonwood Road to county Road 110. Traffic will be detoured during construction along this portion of state Route 195.
Construction for this project is anticipated to occur in the summer of 2018.
