Traffic on I-75 Slowed Wednesday and Thursday Night for Beam Placement at Fourth Street; Traffic Patterns at Reservoir Altered
 
Reservoir Road
 
§  Traffic on I-75 in the area of Reservoir Road has been shifted away from the center bridge pier area to allow for construction of the new pier.
§  Traffic is maintained in two lanes in each direction during daytime hours. Occasional nighttime lane closures are necessary as work dictates.
§  Motorists are asked to be aware of construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zone at Reservoir Road as the pier work takes place. Work on the pier will occur during daytime and nighttime hours.
§  The bridge was closed May 1 for replacement and will remain closed until late fall.
 
Fourth Street
 
§  On Wednesday, June 13, traffic on Interstate 75 will be slowed both northbound and southbound during placement of bridge beams.
§  On Thursday, June 14, traffic will be slowed once more in the southbound direction only, also for bridge beam placement.
§  Lane restrictions in preparation for the operation will be in place each of the two days beginning at approximately 7 p.m. and will continue until 10 a.m. the following day.
§  Beam setting will likely begin at approximately 10 p.m. or later each day.
§  The Ohio State Highway Patrol is assisting with traffic control.
§  The entrance ramps to Interstate 75 from Fourth Street were reopened June 7. Normal traffic patterns in the area of the bridge have resumed.
