Traffic on I-75 Slowed Tonight Northbound, Southbound Wednesday for Removal of Reservoir Road Bridge; Entrance Ramps to Interstate 75 from Fourth Street to Close Wednesday
§ Traffic on I-75 will be slowed in the northbound lanes tonight for removal of the bridge deck on Reservoir Road, weather permitting.
§ On Wednesday, May 9, the operation will occur again in the southbound direction.
§ A work zone will be in place beginning at 7 p.m. on each occurrence and will remain until 10 a.m. the following day.
§ The Ohio State Highway Patrol is assisting with traffic control.
§ Lane closures on I-75 will continue through May following the deck removal during nighttime hours but will occur intermittently as work dictates.
§ On Tuesday, May 8, traffic on Interstate 75 will be restricted to one lane in each direction from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. for pavement striping to prepare for a shift in traffic.
§ The entrance ramps to Interstate 75 from Fourth Street will close Wednesday, May 9 for 30 days to allow for construction of the new center pier of the bridge. Traffic on I-75 will be maintained in two lanes in each direction for those 30 days, but traffic will be shifted away from the pier area where work is taking place.
§ The exit ramps from Interstate 75 to Fourth Street will remain open.
§ Motorists are asked to be aware of construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zone at Fourth Street as the pier work takes place. Work on the pier will occur during daytime and nighttime hours.
