Work to cause highway closures in Hardin, Wyandot counties
The following is work scheduled to occur on state highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1, which includes the counties of Allen, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Wyandot. The schedule of work is dependent upon weather conditions, and unless otherwise noted, work will take place during daytime hours.

State Route 67 (Columbus Street) between Detroit Street and Main Street within the city of Kenton is scheduled to close Thursday, Feb. 22, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The closure will allow for a crane to install equipment on the rooftop of the Hardin County Courthouse. Work is being performed by Quality Mechanical Services, Kenton, for the city of Kenton.
State Route 53
over Oak Run, just east of township Road 97 between the village of Kirby and the city of Upper Sandusky, is scheduled to close Monday, Feb. 26, for approximately 60 days for a bridge deck replacement. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 37, state Route 294 and state Route 67 back to state Route 53. Work will be performed by R & I Construction, Tiffin. (see map
