CENTRAL AVENUE BRIDGE PROJECT RAMP AND LANE CLOSURES
Bowling Green:
ODOT District 2 announces the following update to the I-475/75 bridge replacement project. Updates are underlined and in bold.
2. Interstate 475/Interstate 75: Bridge Replacement
Lucas County (340-08): Replacement of three bridges at Central Avenue, Douglas Road and Auburn Avenue for the widening of I-475/I-75. Intermittent shoulder closures are possible on I-75 in both directions at the Central Avenue bridge. Additionally, intermittent overnight lane restrictions are possible from 10pm until 6am on I-75 at the Central Avenue bridge The Central Avenue bridge over I-75 is closed to traffic and pedestrians until October 2009. Central Avenue detour: two-way traffic is permitted on the service roads between Willys Parkway and Central Avenue. Project complete: October 2010. All work is weather permitting.
Ramp Closures: Beginning Wednesday, August 27, at 10pm until Thursday, August 28, at 6am, the ramp from eastbound I-475 to northbound I-75 will be closed. Detour: southbound I-75; Detroit Avenue exit (Exit 203B); northbound I-75.
Lane Closures: Beginning Thursday, August 28, at 10pm, until Friday, August 29 at 6am, southbound I-75 from Berdan Avenue to the I-75/I-475 will be restricted to one lane of traffic. Traffic on this lane of I-75 will be stopped for 15 minute intervals for bridge removal. Motorists are advised to use caution on northbound I-75 near the construction zone.
The four interchange ramps from Willys Parkway and North Cove Boulevard to I-75 and I-475 are closed until October 2009:
o The ramp from northbound I-75 to Jeep Parkway/Willys Parkway (Exit 205A) is closed. Detour: Berdan Avenue (Exit 205B); Jeep Parkway.
o The ramp from eastbound I-475 to Jeep Parkway/Willys Parkway (Exit 205A) is closed. Detour: I-75, Berdan Avenue exit (Exit 205B); Jeep Parkway.
o The ramp from Jeep Parkway/Willys Parkway to southbound I-75 is closed. Detour: North Cove Boulevard; Central Avenue; Kelly Avenue; eastbound I-475.
o The ramp from North Cove Boulevard to westbound I-475 is closed. Detour: Central Avenue; Upton Avenue.
