Interstate 280 Trench Project Update
Bowling Green: ODOT District Two announces the following update to the I-280 Trench Project. Updates are underlined and in bold.
7. Interstate 280: Trench Project
Lucas County (493-08): Front and Summit streets will be realigned to intersect with the Craig Bridge. Work includes filling the existing I-280 trench and reconnecting city streets in Toledo. North Erie Street between Bush Street and Ash Street is now open to two-way traffic. Through June 2009, Ontario Street and Michigan Street, between Buckeye Street and Ash Street, will close for structure removal and roadway replacement. Detour: Buckeye Street; Ash Street; Erie Street; Buffalo Street.
Through Friday, November 28, the ramp from westbound Summit Street to the Craig Bridge will be closed for ramp reconstruction. Detour: Summit Street; Cherry/Main Street (Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge); Front Street.
On Friday, November 28, from 9am to 3pm, the Craig Bridge will be closed in both directions for ramp reconstruction.
Following the Craig Bridge closure, the temporary tie-in from the Craig Bridge to Summit Street will be open. This will allow for access to the Craig Bridge in both directions to and from Summit Street.
Project complete: November 2010. All work is weather permitting.
