Work on N. Main Street Project in Bowling Green Ahead of Schedule
BOWLING GREEN (Wednesday, October 17, 2012) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces that paving work on the N. Main Street widening project in Bowling Green is scheduled to wrap up by November of this year. Originally, this work was scheduled to be complete in the summer of 2013.
“The big factor for the project moving so quickly has been the weather.” according to District Two Deputy Director Todd Audet. “Because of last year’s mild winter, we were able to get the underground utility work complete in one season. The dry weather over the summer helped to move the remainder of the project forward.”
Over the next few weeks, if you drive through the construction zone, you will notice an increase in orange barrels. Through November, crews will be paving, striping and performing traffic signal work requiring lane restrictions. Crews will continue signal work through the winter, weather permitting. By next spring, the only work on the schedule will be final striping, seeding and signal work requiring minimal lane restrictions.

State Route 25: BG N. Main Street Widening Project *UPDATE*
Wood County (136-11): Through Friday, October 19, N. Main Street (SR 25), between Dill Street and Newton Road, is two lanes in both directions. Beginning Friday, October 19 through November, lane restrictions are possible in both directions on N. Main Street (SR 25), between Dill Street and Newton Road, for paving, striping and signal work. Through, November, lane restrictions are possible near the intersection of Main Street and Poe Road for paving, striping and signal work. Project complete: July 2013. All work is weather permitting.
