Bridge Redecking & Painting Project in Lucas County
BOWLING GREEN (Thursday, July 14, 2016) - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces the start of bridge redecking and painting project on Rushland Avenue, Bowen Road and Monroe Street over Interstate 475 in Lucas County. Beaver Excavating of Canton, Ohio, is expected to start work on the $5.9 million project on July 25.
Rushland Avenue: Bridge Redecking
Lucas County (289-16): Effective, Monday, July 25, through November, nightly from 7pm through 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, at Rushland Avenue for bridge work. Effective Monday, August 1, through November, Rushland Avenue between Groveland Road and Langenderfer Drive will be closed for bridge deck replacement. Detour: Langenderfer Drive; Bowen Road; Groveland Road. Project complete: June 2018. All work is weather permitting.
The closures of Monroe Street and Bowen Road over I-475 will be announced in 2017. Painting of the bridges involving lane restrictions on I-475 are scheduled to take place in 2018.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
