Interstate 475 Maumee River Bridge
BOWLING GREEN (Friday, March 02, 2012) - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces that work will resume on the I-475 Maumee River bridge on Monday, March 5.
Built in 1964, major bridge work is necessary to maintain this important interstate crossing. Work on the bridge includes redecking as well as improvements to the expansion joints, approach slabs and bridge frame. The parapet walls will also be upgraded.
2. Interstate 475: Maumee River Bridge
Lucas & Wood Counties (90-11): Beginning Monday, March 5 through July, northbound I-475, between SR 65 and U.S. 24, will be reduced to one lane for bridge work. Additionally on Monday, March 5 through Thursday, March 8, shoulder restrictions are possible on the ramp from northbound I-475 to US 24 (Exit 4) for barrier wall relocation.
Beginning Monday, March 12 through July, southbound I-475, between US 24 and SR 65, will be reduced to one lane for bridge work. Additionally, beginning Monday, March 12 through July, the ramps from eastbound and westbound US 24 to southbound I-475 will be closed. Detour: northbound I-475; Salisbury Road/Dussel Drive (Exit 6). Project complete: November 2012. All work is weather permitting.
