Interstate 475/U.S. Route 23 Interchange Upgrade
BOWLING GREEN (Monday, September 28, 2015) - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces the following update to the I-475/US 23 interchange upgrade project. Updates are highlighted in bold and underlined:
Interstate 475/U.S. Route 23: Interchange Upgrade
Lucas County (184-14 & 210-15): Effective Thursday, October 1, from 2am until 6am, the ramp from southbound US 23 to eastbound I-475 will be closed for overhead sign installation. Detour: southbound US 23; Airport Highway/SR 2 (Exit 8A); northbound I-475/US 23.
Through December, the ramp from southbound US 23 to Central Avenue is closed. Detour: southbound I-475/US23; Airport Highway (Exit 8A). Additionally at this time, southbound US 23 traffic is reduced to one lane from the I-475/US 23 split in Sylvania to Central Avenue. The ramp from westbound I-475 to Central Avenue (Exit 13) is open.
Overnight lane restrictions are possible at the interchange of I-475/US 23 from Central Avenue to N. Holland Sylvania Road. Through October, lane restrictions are possible on Blossman Road, between Moffat Road and Plainview Drive for bridge work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
