Southern section of major I-75 project beginning
The I-75 widening and reconstruction project from Buck Rd. to South Ave. is expected to begin the week of June 10., while the work on the northern portion of this project from South Ave. to Dorr St. continues on.
Here are upcoming impacts:
Beginning Monday, June 10, nightly lane closures are possible on southbound I-75 between Wales Rd. and Buck Rd.
Beginning Saturday, June 15, southbound I-75 will be reduced to two lanes on southbound I-75 between Wales Rd. and Buck Rd.
Crews anticipate starting work on northbound I-75 in this area around the first of July. At that time, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Wales Rd. (Exit 198) will close for 60 days, and the ramp from Buck Rd. to northbound I-75 will close through January 2020.

What is being done?
- Widen and reconstruct I-75, from Buck Rd. to Dorr St., to current standards, including reducing the curve between Wales Rd. & Miami St.
- Reconfigure I-75 interchanges with Anthony Wayne Trail, South Ave., and Miami St. to enhance safety
- Replace I-75 (DiSalle Bridge) over the Maumee River
Dorr Street to South Avenue:
4-year project beginning summer 2018
Approximately $158.6 million
South Avenue to Glenwood Road:
5-year project beginning spring 2019
Approximately $185 million
