Interstate 475/US 23 Safety Upgrade Project
BOWLING GREEN (Friday, June 6, 2014) The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces the start of the Interstate 475/US 23 interchange upgrade project in Sylvania.
The project, designed to improve safety, will correct the traffic weave from westbound I-475 to southbound I-475/US 23 by building a separate ramp with access to Central Avenue. The project will also tie into capacity improvements following completion of the Central Avenue interchange upgrade project, which will start construction in 2015. Mosser Construction, Inc. will build this two year $14 Million project.

Lucas County (184-14): Effective Monday, June 16, through December 2015, shoulder and overnight lane restrictions, 8pm to 6am, are possible at the interchange of I-475/US 23 from Central Avenue to N. Holland Sylvania Road. Additional closures and restrictions will be announced. Project complete: December 2015. All work is weather permitting.
