Interstate 475/U.S. Route 23 Interchange Upgrade
BOWLING GREEN (Tuesday, August 18, 2015) - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces the following update to the I-475/US 23 interchange upgrade project. Updates are highlighted in bold and underlined:
Interstate 475/U.S. Route 23: Interchange Upgrade
Lucas County (184-14 & 210-15): Beginning Wednesday, August 19 at 7pm, southbound US 23 will be placed onto the new traffic configuration at I-475/US 23 split near Sylvania. Southbound US 23 traffic will be reduced to one lane at the ramp from southbound US 23 to eastbound I-475. By August 20 at 6am, motorists are advised of major changes in traffic patterns in this work zone. On Wednesday, August 19 at 7pm, through December, the ramp from southbound US 23 to Central Avenue will be closed. Detour: southbound I-475/US23; Airport Highway (Exit 8A). Additionally, on Wednesday, August, 19 at 7pm, through Thursday, August 20 at 6am, the ramp from westbound I-475 to southbound US 23 will be closed for pavement repair. Detour: northbound US 23; Monroe Street/SR 51 (Exit 234).
Overnight lane restrictions are possible at the interchange of I-475/US 23 from Central Avenue to N. Holland Sylvania Road. Through October, lane restrictions are possible on Blossman Road, between Moffet Road and Plainview Drive for bridge work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
