Northbound Interstate 75/280 Rerouting
BOWLING GREEN (Wednesday, May 25, 2016) - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces the following update to the Interstate 75/280 rerouting project in Lucas County. Updates are highlighted in bold and underlined:
Interstate 75/280: Rerouting
Lucas County (536-14): Through December, northbound I-75 traffic is rerouted to southbound I-280 for bridge replacement. Two lanes of traffic are maintained. Reroute: southbound I-280; Central Avenue; northbound I-280.
Effective tonight through Friday, May 27, nightly from 9pm until 5am, the ramp from northbound I-280 to southbound I-75 will be closed for bridge demolition. Detour: northbound I-75; Alexis Road (Exit 210); southbound I-75.
Effective Thursday, May 26 through Friday, May 27, and Tuesday, May 31 through Wednesday, June 1, nightly from 9pm until 5am, the ramp from southbound I-75 to southbound I-280 will be closed for bridge demolition. Detour: Lagrange Street (Exit 207); South Expressway Drive; northbound I-75; southbound I-280.
Through June, single lane restrictions are possible on I-280, between Manhattan Boulevard and Central Avenue, for ramp construction. Through December, Central Avenue, between Buckeye Street and Galena Street, is closed. Detour: Lagrange Street; Greenbelt Parkway; Galena Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained. The northbound I-75 rerouting is expected to begin in May and continue through December. All work is weather permitting.
