ODOT SEEKS PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE PROPOSED US 20A ROUNDABOUT PROJECT
Accepting comments through May 4
BOWLING GREEN (Wednesday, April 04, 2018) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two is seeking public comment on the proposed project LUC-20A-3.55/4.55 Roundabouts Project (PID 94407).
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is currently proposing a highway project on US 20A (Sager Road). The project proposes construction of two modern roundabouts at the intersections of US 20A and Berkey Southern Road/SR 295 and at the intersection of US 20A and Whitehouse-Spencer Road/Township Road 117 (TR 117). Additional activities associated with the project include removal of the Air Cargo Parkway (CR 2470)/US 20A intersection and closure of the Maumee Western Road (CR 92)/US 20A intersection to decrease the number of intersections along US 20A. The Toledo Lucas County Port Authority (TLCPA) would be responsible for the closure of the Maumee Western Road and Sager Road intersection. Lastly, the project proposes construction of a new connector road to carry traffic between Air Cargo Parkway (CR 2470) and Berkey Southern Road due to the elimination of the intersection of Air Cargo Parkway and US 20A. This maintains the connection between Air Cargo Parkway and US 20A. Traffic on US 20A would be detoured during construction of the roundabouts; however, access to properties within the construction limits will be maintained. Construction for the project is proposed for spring of 2019.
