ODOT District Two Winter Weather Update
BOWLING GREEN (Monday, January 11, 2016) – Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two continue to plow and treat wintery roads tonight as more snow falls.
Across Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Williams counties, ODOT trucks are plowing and treating state and federal routes with brine and salt.
Crews will continue twelve hour shifts through Tuesday. Drivers have been on twelve hour shifts since early Sunday morning.
ODOT will have over 100 plow trucks treating the roadways overnight Monday through Tuesday.
For the morning commute, ODOT remind drivers to use caution and drive to the conditions of the road.
Drive well below the posted speed limit and leave plenty of room between cars.
Once the snow stops, drivers can still expect wintery conditions as the wind is forecasted to increase, thus increasing the chance for drifting snow, especially in rural areas.
