ODOT seeking public comment on proposed Navarre Ave. bridge over I-280 project
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (October 31, 2019) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 2 is proposing to replace portions of the deck (driving surface) of the bridge that carries Navarre Ave./SR 2 over I-280 in the City of Oregon. The bridge work will require a 30-day closure for vehicles and pedestrians. The ramps will remain open. Construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2020. During construction, a detour for pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be posted.
We wish to inform the public of this project and welcome questions and comments on it. We are seeking comments regarding environmental or social issues related to this project, including, but not limited to, the effect of the project on local residents, the pedestrian and vehicular detours, cultural resources (archaeological and history/architectural), ecological resources (streams, wetlands, etc.) and hazardous materials (dump sites, underground and above ground storage tanks, etc.). Additionally, we would appreciate any information you may have on the existence of these features in the project area shown on the map below. There are no anticipated environmental impacts at this time.
Please submit your questions and comments on these issues by Monday, December 2, 2019 to:
