Bridge reopened to vehicles & pedestrians
Port Clinton Lift Bridge
BOWLING GREEN, OHIO (August 7, 2018) – The SR 163 Port Clinton Lift Bridge has reopened to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
"We want to thank the community for their patience during the understandably frustrating delays," said Patrick McColley, District Deputy Director for ODOT District 2.
Although now open, there is still about two months of finish work on which crews will be working, including architectural restoration work and some structure steel painting. The bridge is estimated to last another 75 years before needing another rehabilitation project.
The bridge will open for marine traffic every half hour, on the half hour.
