Public Meeting: State Route 582 in Wood County
BOWLING GREEN (Tuesday, April 25, 2017) - The Ohio Department of Transportation has scheduled a public meeting for the proposed SR 582 improvement project in Wood County.
ODOT is proposing a project to improve a 3.5 mile portion of SR 582 located in Middleton and Webster Townships, Wood County Ohio. The project extends from Mercer Road east to approximately 1,000 feet east of the intersection with SR 199.
At this time, it is known that the roadway has lanes and paved shoulders that are narrower than a standard ODOT roadway, therefore minor widening is being proposed to bring the roadway up to standards and, in some areas, move the roadway further away from the guardrail and Packer Creek. Also, the SR 582 Bridge over Packer Creek is deteriorating and is proposed for replacement, along with replacement of the deck/driving surface of the Carter Road Bridge over Packer Creek. The proposed project is in the early stages of development and your assistance is requested to help determine the improvements along SR 582. At this time several improvements are being proposed by ODOT, but public input is requested on those proposed improvements. The construction of the project is currently scheduled to begin in the spring of 2019.
ODOT would like to invite you to a Public Meeting on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 4pm to 6pm at the Middleton Township Hall at 21745 N. Dixie Highway, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. The purpose of this public meeting is to afford all interested persons the opportunity to review the project and proposed improvements in an open house format. Project team representatives will be available to discuss the project, answer questions, and take comments. Comments may be made at the meeting or mailed within 30 days of the meeting (on or before June 8, 2017) to:

Additionally, we would appreciate any information you may have on the existence of these features in the project area.
