State Route 25 and Five Point Road in Wood County
BOWLING GREEN (Friday, August 28, 2015) –The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two today announces that a traffic signal will soon be installed at the intersection of State Route 25 and Five Point Road in Wood County as the result of a recent traffic study.
Over the past year, there has been an increase in nearby commercial development, construction traffic and an increase in crashes at the intersection.
Findings of this study conclude that a signal is warranted at the intersection based on the parameters set forth in the Ohio Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
ODOT will begin the design process immediately and ODOT estimates a temporary traffic signal will be installed by December to improve the safety of the motorists at the intersection. A permanent traffic signal will be installed once funding is secured.
